Harvester: the best period of maintenance in idle stage

combine harvester has a short use time and a long idle time in a year. To keep the harvester in good technical condition and effectively extend its service life, high-quality maintenance in the idle stage is very important

1. During the idle period, the dust, straw, Seed Bran and other sundries inside and outside the harvester should be removed as soon as possible, and then the whole machine should be washed with pressurized water (belts, electrical appliances, etc. must be removed and placed separately before cleaning), and dried. The surface of bare metal parts (such as cutting parts) can be coated with a layer of waste oil well pasted newspaper for protection, and the paint of the same color is best applied to the paint off part

2. Store the harvester in a dry and ventilated garage with high and hard ground, and use wooden piers to support it at the solid place of the frame near the tire. The four support points should be on the same horizontal plane to prevent the frame from deformation. The support height should be 20mm ~ 50mm above the ground, and 2/3 of the gas in the tire should be released to avoid premature aging of the tire. Put down the header and cushion it with sleepers to fully retract the plunger rod of the hydraulic oil rainbow into the hydraulic cylinder and let the hydraulic pump unload. Loosen the header buffer spring adjusting bolt to make it in a free state

3. The storage site should be away from the fire source and equipped with fire extinguishers, sand, shovel, etc. to prevent accidents

4. Remove all transmission belts, wipe them clean, apply talc powder, hang labels indicating specifications and transmission parts, and hang them on the wall of the warehouse for storage; Remove all roller chains, clean them with diesel oil or kerosene, drain them and put them into waste engine oil to soak for 30 cm. Wipe the unpainted surface clean. Pour and fix the screw holes of each foot with cement mortar with high strength, and then wipe them with cotton yarn dipped in a little engine oil for about 1 time (or soak them in waste engine oil for 48 hours). After taking them out, drain the engine oil, dip them in heated and melted butter, and then wrap them with kraft paper or oil-resistant film, Store in a dry and ventilated place

5. Remove the battery, discharge the battery completely at a discharge rate of 20 hours, pour out the electrolyte, and wash the battery repeatedly with distilled water. Before 1968, the United States adopted the Charpy lock impact test method, which can reduce the friction between the spring plates until the distilled water poured out of the battery has no sour taste. Put the battery upside down on two small wooden sticks and control the water to dry. Tighten the filler cap and seal the vent on the cap with wax drops

6. Remove the load on all safety clutch springs and other springs to avoid fatigue deformation of the spring and affect its working performance. (end)
